Would you like to exhibit you art in this mobile art gallery? Contact hebdenfringe@googlemail.com to discuss possibilities...

In Dec '08 we held a celebratory feast with the finest food. We asked the guests what they would like to see, do, at The Fringe '09. We asked guests how they would like to contribute to The Fringe '09. We listened to song, stories, played, made things and ATE fine fine fine FINE food.

Fringe 2008

In ‘08 The Fringe was born – a whim with the hope that local involvement, ownership, local colour, street presence and excitement would increase if a sister to the arts festival opened the doors. A festival that encouraged and supported those with a seed of an idea, a festival that said yes. We gave it a go – and were encouraged by the achievements and feedback, events that brought youth and older folk together in celebration, events that launched groups, venues, projects, and the general merriment The Fringe ‘08 brought to Hebden Bridge. Here are some photos from some of the events of The Fringe '08. Puppets and storytelling, community picnic, films, stories, rapping, dance and Duplo.
